The TableRoc name came from two strong beliefs. The first belief was in the value that can be created by sitting with people around the Table. The table is used in every culture and environment around the world. It is a place for breaking bread, fostering relationships, creating ideas, developing strategy and building communities and families. It is a powerful place where lasting impact and transformation can take place.
The second belief was that leaders needed to be rooted in authenticity, grounded with solid character, resilient in hardships, becoming the “rocks” that others could count on for the long haul. However, the leader’s responsibility was also to continue to change, learn, and develop skills to meet the needs of our ever-changing world. Thus, Roc represents that leader. One who is solid in who they are, yet always elevating their skills to better serve others.

In the summer of 2022, nearing the end of the pandemic, I was faced with a significant decision. Do I remain in corporate America, running companies for great organizations like the Marmon Group and Berkshire Hathaway, or do I create a company where I could use my experience to impact leaders across my community? Would I continue to run businesses that make amazing products or build a company that builds leaders? Would I impact a few companies or set out to make a difference across many organizations?
In the end, founding the TableRoc Group was not about my “Why”, it came down to my “Who”. Who did I want to invest my life with and into. It was about the leaders who I wanted to collaborate at the table with, who I wanted to share the challenges and the needs of work, community and family. It was not just about leaders winning, but thriving. I have a passion for the people I work with to be amazing leaders in all aspects of their lives. TableRoc Group was formed to elevate leaders. To help them become the “rocks,” that those entrusted to them can count on.
